Through active fundraising CFUW North Vancouver maintains an Education Trust Fund that provides post-secondary scholarships for North Vancouver women. The Trust fund is a registered charity. We provide annual scholarships for female residents of North Vancouver through endowments at BCIT, Capilano University, SFU, and UBC. Scholarships for high school students are available at each North Vancouver high school and are supported by annual grants from the BC Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch. Currently we award approximately $16,000 annually.
Please consider making a donation! Canadian charitable tax receipts are issued for donations to our Education Trust Fund of $20 or more.
We support the national CFUW Charitable Trust which awards scholarships to women in graduate studies across Canada through an annual $100 donation on behalf of the club.
We also invite members to support GWI scholarships through three of their programs: the Hegg Hoffat Fund for displaced or refugee women scholars; Teachers for Rural Futures teacher training program in Uganda; the Winifred Cullis Fellowship for international doctoral candidates. Please note that Canadian charitable tax receipts are not available for these international donations.
