Any person who is 18 years of age or more, identifies as woman and supports our goals is welcome to join us.
Your fee of $140.00 per year covers 10 monthly programs and an option to join the following Interest Groups:
Book Discussions, Creative Reflective Memoir Writing, International Studies, Community Issues, Mah Jong, Meander and Munch, Walking Group and Happy Hour with Friends.
This is group of women who have a variety of interests and hobbies and are part of Interest Groups, Club and Community Committees. A university education is not required.
Our purposes are defined in our by-laws.

CFUW NV – Making a difference in our community since 1980
Purposes
Section 1: To assist in developing and promoting
a) high standards of public education
b) educational values in Canada with a sound concept of lifelong learning
c) study and research by women and
d) education awards at the secondary and post-secondary levels.
Section 2: To stimulate an active interest among members and advocate for the advancement of the economic, legal and professional status of women, for human rights and for the common good. These processes shall be considered locally, nationally and internationally in a non-partisan manner with respect for all.
Section 3 To promote cooperation, networking, support and understanding among women.
Section 4: To foster a sense of responsibility, to encourage and enable women to apply their knowledge and skills in leadership and decision-making, to sustain an intelligent interest in and participate in all aspects of the political, social, cultural, educational and scientific fields, and to provide an opportunity for effective concerted action.
Section 5: To encourage our members to place their education and professional training at the service of the community in local, national and international fields.
DUES: The membership dues is currently $140.00 per year (2025-26) for a full membership. The dues amount is allocated in the following way:
Club operating amount $50.00
CFUW National amount $55.00
GWI amount $32.00
CFUW BC Council Amount $3.00
Dual $40.00 per year (for members of other CFUW clubs) and Student Memberships also available.
